Geologists at the service of the public and societyGeologists contribute to Québec society trough their professioal practice in mineral resource discovery and exploitation, geophysics, hydrogeology, environment or geotechnics. Use of the professional title of Geologist is reserved to members of the Ordre des géologues du Québec under the Professional Code of Québec. Created by the Geologist's Act, the Ordre des géologues du Québec is made up the community of persons entitled to practice the profession of geologist in Québec. The Ordre des géologues, like all professional ordres, is charged with protecting the interests of the public by ensuring the professionalism of its members. |
